Fitness Center Information

The Fitness Center is open to the public and is located at 600 North Elm in El Paso. The center has a wide variety of fitness equipment and traditional cardiovascular and strength training equipment. For more information please call the El Paso Parks and Recreation Department at (309) 527-4250.

Additional information on the fitness center and agreement between the City of El Paso and the EPG school district:

  • Open Year Round to the Public.
  • Teachers, Full Time City Employees, and their spouses will receive free entry to the facility as a benefit of employment.
  • Individuals must be 18 years of age to enter the fitness center, or be under direct parental supervision.
  • Hours of Operation (Fall through Spring)
    1. Open at All times except for the Following:
      • Monday – Friday 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., 3:30 - 6:00
      • Saturday – Sunday 8:00 a.m. - Noon
  • Seniors will be considered as 55 and older.
  • Membership Clarification
    1. Memberships may be purchased on a semiannual or quarterly basis. All user rates are determined by if you live within the Unit 11 School District. Family passes may be purchased for the immediate family which include mom, dad, sisters, brothers all living in the same household and are under 21 years of age, unless they are a full time student. Stepchildren may be included only if they reside with the family member purchasing the pass. Grandparents, grandchildren, cousins, neighbors, children you babysit for, couples living together, or fiance are not eligible.
  • How to Register for Membership
    1. Please visit City Hall for an information packet to fill out. The packet will include the following: Membership Application, Health Form, and Background Check Form.
    2. Please fill out all information and include payment for membership and turn all into City Hall.
    3. Contact Lisa Price to setup a background check. There will be a fee associated with this; however it is a one-time fee. Background checks are required by the school district. Lisa Price can be contacted by email at lisa@ethostactical.com
    4. Once the background check has cleared, you will receive an email from the recreation department to set up a time to receive your key card to access the fitness center. The key card can be used at the east side of the fitness center at the entrance. Should you lose your card, there will be a $5.00 replacement fee.
